A Homeschool Manifesto
(in which the Headmaster reveals the truth about homeschooling, remodeling and church-sign cosmology.)
The Headmaster, whom you may recall went fishing yesterday, has fallen in and is now smimming in it; he's up to his eyeballs in work. Posts will be sporadic, at best, over the coming weeks.
Stay tuned, I don't swim very well...

I highly recommend a 'bathing suit'. :)
now you're going to have to change your tag line to two paychecks
aw, dammit Sandra. I hadn't thought of that. Maybe I can get them to pay me in cash.
Pat - Look, I'm not the one who got arrested in Ogunquit. I'm just saying...
Gee, before Pat went out of town, we were all in the zone. Now everything has gone cattywampus: Jim's working; I'm in blog rehab; and Zendra's crushing on vampires.
Pat, we need you down here to do an intervention on us, STAT. Alternatively, we could all come up and do an in-patient weekend with you all in Maine. I'm just saying . . .
I warned you not to go fishing! Nothing good comes out of it!
You said it Lisa. I leave town for a few days and my 'peeps' have disintegrated - the ZONE is caput! I, for one, got back in the 'ZONE' last night - by dancing - yep, hours and hours of dancing. So this is my recommendation, an alternative intervention if you will: you all need to pack a bag, head out on a road trip north - I'll meet you in Ogunquit and we'll get our 'ZONES' back at a women's TeaDance - 3pm to 9pm - nothing but laughing, dancing, and having fun. And Jim's always invited to the dancing 'ZONE'! As Jim insinutates, there is a risk of being arrested but heck - you're the lawyer so we're covered... There's one every month - come on up and get your 'ZONE' on!
Pat,
Oooh. I love, love, love dancing. Sounds like you had a great time. You go, girl!
Listen, first warm month, I'll meet ya on the Marginal Way. I'll be the one with the sparkly, high heeled, dance shoes. (This will be unlike the first time I walked the Marginal Way, barefoot. I was not arrested, but I could have been, should have been, and may be when I do it next time. Something about disturbing the peace. Ya in?)
Uh oh....
You bet I'm in. Ain't much peace around here I haven't disturbed - with my brother and best friend in tow. I love Marginal Way in the off season - hardly any people - lots of peaceful ocean time sitting on the benches.
Oh yeah, very nice benches and useful for a lot of things--some of which are considered disturbing the peace in lieu of indecent exposure if you get a nice, young officer who lets you off with a verbal warning in exchange for a harmless flash. For goodness sakes, people, it gets dark, dark, dark in Maine ---what are people and peace officers doing out when the walk is closed anyway? Geez, can we get a freakin break, already??? I mean, we were over the age of consent.
We definitely have to meet Lisa - how does that saying go "two peas in a pod" - be scared Jim, be very, very scared! he.he.he.
Pat,
Seeing as how we're pod mates, can I just say--you know that last, long, promontory before you get to Perkins Cove (walking from Ogunquit)? I recommend that, too. You can see everything coming from either direction and long before anybody can actually walk to the end where you are, you can get it all together. See what I'm saying?
